5 Small Businesses We Love This Christmas

With Christmas just a few weeks away (yep, it’s that close!), it may be time to start thinking about gifts for clients and contractors. To mark this weekend’s Small Business Saturday, here are five small businesses you could support this festive season…

Laptop surrounded by Christmas gifts

Who doesn’t love a delicious biscuit at Christmas? Biscuiteers make gorgeous hand-iced treats, including Christmas themed advent tins, festive macarons and luxury gift boxes.

There’s also a huge range of non-Christmas treats, as well as vegan and gluten-free biscuits. If you know a dog-lover, they also cater for pooches! For that extra special touch, you can add personalisation and, if you have any overseas clients, Biscuiteers deliver worldwide.

The Yorkshire Soap Company makes a lot more than just soap. There’s a huge range of luxury festive gifts to choose from such as seasonal soaps, bath products and home fragrances, as well as luxury gift boxes and hampers.

The products are inspired by everything from artisan sweet shops to the travelling circus, with soaps that look like sugar mice and a fish in a bag.

With 97% of natural bee and butterfly habitat lost in the UK since WW2, why not give a unique gift that can help bring back the bees? Send a client or contractor a beebomb and they can create a wildflower meadow.

Handmade in Dorset, the beebombs are made up of 18 British wildflower seeds, fine sifted soil and locally sourced clay. All they have to do is scatter it onto cleared ground.

There are beebomb Christmas gift boxes available, which can be personalised.

For many of us, the festive season means lots of alcohol and just as many hangovers, but if you gift someone a bottle of Wild Life Botanicals sparkling wine they’ll have all the fun without the hangover. The wine is low in alcohol and infused with vitamins, minerals and botanicals, so sipping a glass of wine provides a host of benefits too.

With just 0.5% ABV and less than 35 calories per glass, you can have a good time without that dreaded sore head the next day. Say thank you with a bottle of Wild Life Botanicals and help your client stay hangover-free this Christmas.

If you don’t want to shop for your own gifts or are struggling to find the time, we can do it for you. We can do the research, send you options for you to choose from and purchase the gifts for you, as well as organising gift wrapping and postage, making it stress-free for you.

It doesn’t matter if you have two gifts to buy or 50, we can help. Sometimes just having someone to discuss ideas with is useful.

The Arts News

  • The complete cast for the UK tour of Mamma Mia! has been announced, with Sara Poyzer, Nicky Swift, Helen Anker, Richard Standing, Phil Corbitt and Daniel Crowder part of the cast leading the show - head to the show’s website for the full cast.

  • In a moving tribute to Stephen Sonheim, theatres all over London’s West End dimmed their lights for two minutes on Monday. Following the composer’s death at the age of 91, there has been an outpouring of grief from stars of the stage and screen.
